Summary of Bkk trip - 28 - 31st Oct 05
Alright guys.. here's a summary of my Bangkok trip.. Pls note, all time stated is in accordance with s'pore time.. Fyi, bkk has a time diff of 1 hr.. e.g. s'pore 1230 = bkk 1130... okie?
Day 1:
Arrived ard 1615.. transit to the hotel.. dropped our bags.. and all hell broke loose.. haha.. shopping...! Although it was onli for a short duration.. coz we had something on at the later part of the day.. Besides, the walk along the market - Pratunam market... which was juz a street down the hotel...
Day 2:
Chatuchak Weekend Market! Huge.. The place was realli huge.. (jaws drop).. We din manage to finish walking thru the entire place.. thk it wld have taken us 1 entire day juz to finish the place.. It was like bugis street.. albeit more narrow and more variety.. and yes.. larger.. bout' 200 times larger.. haha..
We were walking past this shop selling jeans.. and all of a sudden, the shop owner ( i presume) stood up and touched my stomach.. *shocked* Took me a couple of secs to register this.. and the funny thing is he knew i came frm s'pore.. Wat the hell is wrong with these ppl??? Can't they juz keep their hands to themselves?? Luckily i'm a guy.. if not.. pls imagine the consequences urself...
Headed to Mah Boon Krong aka MBK in short... Shopping mall.. kinda like.. far east in the size of the IMM building... haha.. Stuff for youngsters... haha.. did foot massage there.. pretty good..
Bought Barcadi Superior @ 7-11 for 147baht.. Alcoholic content = 37.5%... (we drank alcohol every nite in the hotel room before slping... haha)
Wow.. It took us 2 nights to finish the bottle.. mixed it with Coke thou.. haha.. But i guess the drink was realli strong.. coz i slpt realli soundly.. Unless it was all the walking that tire me out.. fyi, we walked practically everywhere.. i thk i managed to balance out the food intake and the "exercise"...haha... And Man utd lost 4-1.. crap.. watched the game back in the hotel room.. grr...
Day 3:
MBK - Chinatown - MBK.. Tt was realli it.. Watched "Doom" @ MBK's cineplex.. 120baht.. Show was pretty crappy.. but since it was cheap.. its forgiven..haha... They forced me to do go thru the traditional Thai massage.. my bones were bout' to crack.. Wondering why we had so many massages?? Coz walking was the main mode of transportation during our stay in bkk.. haha...
Day 4:
Home sweet home @ 1555 hrs.. We took BUSINESS CLASS back!!! Apparently economy class was full and they upgraded us.. Took a 747 and sat on the upper deck... so cool!! The gulf in class, service was apparent for all to see... Wow.. but i dun thk i will be taking a biz class anytime soon.. i'm not in tt league yet...
Summary:
Okie, u guys betta listen up there... Those who had specified ur present.. U betta not complain of me buying it wrongly or the design is not nice.. I will kill u.. And those had had asked me to buy presents for them... dun blame me if my taste is not up to ur standard.. Coz u guys made me spend all my cash... Appreciate it k? =)
